Our Story
Our journey began in 2012 when I was diagnosed with Hashimoto's. Fed up with the lack of cure or help from western medicine, I decided to take my health into my own hands. With support from my loving husband, Akee, I embarked on a journey of health and well-being.
The environmental engineer and environmentalist within me pulled me in the direction of herbs; after all, I did belong to a culture that has used herbs for various remedies. I expanded my intrinsic herbal knowledge by researching various mediums, including books, journals, and scientific papers, and for years, I immersed myself in learning about herbs and their benefits.
I regained my health with the help of herbs, meditation, and yoga, and with it came deep respect for herbs and their effectiveness.
I embraced and extensively applied my herbal knowledge and skills to every aspect of our lives, from what we ate to what we put on our skin. And started formulating skin care products that fit our skincare needs, with particular consideration to, Akee's allergies to artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives.
Akee, an altruist, environmentally conscious software engineer with a generational organic farming background, knew the importance of organic living and has always advocated it strongly. He was amazed by the effectiveness of natural and organic skincare formulated by me and strongly felt that everyone should have access to such clean, natural, organic skincare and wanted to share it with the rest of the world. Hence began 'Spin Organics.'
Rooted in ayurveda, Spin Organics embraces and incorporates herbal skincare wisdom from various cultures.
At Spin Organics, we use certified organic ingredients from around the world. These ingredients are synergistically combined using ayurvedic processes to create essential skincare products that are thoroughly researched and formulated.
